3D Eyelet Embroidery Fabric with Vine Flower Motif and Scalloped Edge for Spring Summer Dresses and Blouses

Construction and hand feel. The embroidery is worked in two registers: dense satin-stitched petals that carry a padded, three-dimensional relief, and eyelet apertures whose raw edges are cut away and overcast with a tight zigzag so the circles stay open and clean through washing and pressing. The 100% cotton ground stays soft and dry to the touch, and at 185g/m the fabric keeps enough body to hold a shaped seam while remaining light enough to wear unlined in warm weather.

Motif and layout. The design runs as repeating vertical columns: an eyelet circle column alternating with a trailing vine carrying five-petal flowers and leaves. The repeat is even and continuous, which matters at the cutting table — panels can be cut on the vine direction for a continuous border effect along a hem or sleeve, or cross-cut for an allover look, with predictable placement and little waste from motif mismatch.

Edge construction. Both selvedges carry a scalloped eyelet border worked into the fabric itself. For a production team this removes a step: the scallop can be used directly as a finished hem, cuff or neckline edge, so there is no separate lace trim to buy, position, stitch and inspect. It also keeps the border colour and hand identical to the body, which is difficult to achieve when a trim is sourced separately.

Season and application. The open eyelet structure and cotton ground give natural air movement, so the fabric is aimed at spring/summer collections: dresses with scalloped hems and sleeve edges, blouses and shirts with eyelet yokes and cuffs, tiered skirts and co-ord sets, and overlays where the sheer ground and raised embroidery do the decorative work on their own.
